Avatar: The Way of Water Trailer released

The long delayed sequel to Avatar finally has an official trailer. Watch below and let us know what you think.

It’s been 13 years in the making since the original Avatar movie was released in 2009. Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) is now a fully accepted Na’vi and married to native Na’vi Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) with children. The Way of Water takes place a decade after the events of the first film and will take us into the depths of the underwater world of Pandora guaranteeing more spectacular visual effects.

Directed again by James Cameron, Cameron has described Avatar: The Way of Water as “the most immersive 3D” experience ever witnessed.

“We wanted our return to Pandora to be something really special,” the filmmaker said recently at CinemaCon. “Every shot was designed for the biggest screen, the highest resolution, and the most immersive 3d available. We set out once again to push the limits of what cinema can do. I think we pulled it off. I hope we pulled it off. I hope when you see the film in December that you will agree.”

Avatar: The Way of Water stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, CCH Pounder, and Matt Gerald returning from the first film with Sigourney Weaver returning but in a new role. The sequel will also adds Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, Brendan Cowell, Michelle Yeoh, Jemaine Clement, Oona Chaplin, Vin Diesel, and CJ Jones.

The film will finally be released only in theaters on December 16, 2022.
