The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, the upcoming series from Amazon Prime, has released it’s first trailer and it is exciting!
The series is set thousands of years before Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings books and the Jackson movie trilogies. It is being described as an epic drama where unlikely heroes will be tested and face one of the greatest villains ever created by Tolkien.
The series follows an ensemble cast as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-Earth. We will get to see the rise of kingdoms of the Elves and their capital of Lindon, the island kingdom of Numenor, and the Misty Mountains.

The series is led by showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay. Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is set to debut on Amazon Prime Video September 2, 2022.
