Star Wars: Celebration happening now in Chicago, IL, just released the first Teaser Trailer for Episode 9 – and revealed it’s title: The Rise of Skywalker.
That title is certainly going to cause a LOT of speculation! It seems to indicate that somehow Rey is, in fact, a Skywalker which begs the question – is she the twin sister of Kylo Ren?? Is she Luke’s daughter?
Apparently, before Carrie Fisher’s passing, she was to be the one to Rise in this final installment which would make a lot of sense. As her part was drastically changed with her death, it is interesting they stuck to the title though obviously she will not have as prominent of a role.
We see in the trailer Rey being hugged by Leah and the laugh at the end….Palatine is definitely back!
So many questions – so much time to wait.
Star Wars: Episode IX is set for a December release.
