The Boys spinoff in development

Following a successful season 2 launch of The Boys, Amazon has put a spinoff in development.

Based on the best-selling comic of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys season 2 premiere had the most-watched global launch of an Amazon original series ever, up over 89% from Season 1. It’s already been renewed for Season 3 with an aftershow hosted by Aisha Tyler added.

The spinoff is going to be set by the only college for superheroes run by Vought International. It is described as an “irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities.”

Craig Rosenberg is writing the pilot and will serve as showrunner/executive producer. No word yet on cast or release date.
