Lance Reddick Passes at 60

Actor Lance Reddick (left) has unexpectedly died at the age of 60.

We previously announced Reddick’s casting in the upcoming Percy Jackson series and are saddened to learn of his sudden passing March 17. His body was found at his home in Studio City with no cause of death yet announced, though law enforcement told TMZ it appeared to be natural.

Reddick was set to reprise his role as Charon, the concierge at the Continental Hotel in New York City in the John Wick spin-off Ballerina, and will be seen in John Wick: Chapter 4 opening next week. Reddick had unexpectedly pulled out of the premiere of John Wick 4 and posted on his social media to honor National Puppy Day on the 16th.

With more than 100 acting credits including The Wire and Fringe, his first major role was in Season 4 of the HBO drama Oz in 2000 as Detective Johnny Basil, an undercover officer who is later stabbed to death at the prison.
