Review: “All About Yves” - The Season Finale

Airing Friday May 11, 9 pm, Fox

While trailing “Man In Black” Morris Fletcher, the boys stumble upon what may be
a link to Romeo 61, the granddaddy of all conspiracies
that happens to lead right back to Yves

This season finale is actually the first of a two part episode - which usually means the producers have at least some hope the show will be picked up for another season. Hopefully, this is the case. The show has definitely been getting better as they went along and this one has a great mix of mystery, decent storyline and interesting characters with even a few plot twists thrown in for good measure. It is the only episode to touch on aliens and abductions as well (see photos below) though it has a rather interesting twist I won’t give away <smile>.

There is also a surprise guest star in this episode - a surprise the producers are trying to hide even from the press as the advance copy of the episode I received had a place where a black screen with the words “Surprise scene to be inserted here” appeared and a certain name was “bleeped” out.  I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but it wasn’t too hard to read their lips when they said “Agent *bleep*” ... let me put it this way...X-Files fans will NOT want to miss this one though the Agent in question makes only a brief appearance due to his connection with alien theories...oops! <smile>

That said, though the episode is titled “All About Yves”, we learn only a little more about her in this one - or at least, in this part of the story. If the show is renewed for next season, hopefully more will be revealed. Yves is one of the most interesting characters in the show - and the one we know the least about. Jimmy gets a little annoying in this one, though shows that his heart is in the right place and he is concerned about the guys (a little too many times which is where the annoying factor comes in).

Let’s hope we at least get to see the finale of this episode next season - if the show is not picked up, I could see where it could be finished in an X-Files episode at least.

A couple of photos from the episode are below...just to get you thinking!
