Kevin Conway

As Dr. Haber in Lathe of HeavenBesides playing Dr. William Haber in the Lathe of Heaven, Kevin has had many roles in genre and non-sci-fi films and television shows. Over the past 30 years, Kevin has created many memorable characters on film, on television, and in some of the most significant stage plays on the era. He has guest starred on numerous television shows including XFiles, Star Trek, Miami Vice, JAG, Northern Exposure and more and has been in films including The Quick and the Dead, Jennifer 8, Lawnmower Man and many more.

Some of his sci-fi work includes:

  • Walker in Lawnmower Man 2
  • Kahless in Star Trek: The Next Generations “Rightful Heir” episode
  • The narrator for the audio book of “Kahless”
  • Jack McAlpin in X-Files “Fresh Bones” episode
  • Alec Hill in Highlander episode “Haunted”
  • Weary in Slaughterhouse-Five

His major stage work includes:

  • “Other Peoples’ Money” (original off-Broadway/Los Angeles) as “Garfinkle/Larry the Liquidator” for which he received the Outer Critics’ Choice Award as Best Actor
  • “The Elephant Man” (original/Broadway) as Dr. Frederick Treves
  • “Of Mice and Men” (Broadway & Kennedy Center) as George to James Earl Jones’ Lenny
  • “King John” (NY Shakespeare Festival) in the title role
  • “When Ya Comin’ Back, Red Ryder?” (Off Broadway/LA) as Teddy - Received: Obie, Drama Desk and LA Awards as Best Actor
  • A highly-praised performance as “Randle Patrich McMurphy” in “One Flew Over the Cuckoos’ Nest” - a signature role he played in NY and elsewhere for over two years

Mr. Conway made his stage directing debut in 1986 with “Mecca” by English Playwright Ted Whitehead. The play was picked among the Top 10 of the Year by Time Magazine and both it and Mr. Conway received Drama Desk nominations. He went on to direct a number of other production.
