A new report claims that Ben Affleck’s Batman gets a substantial amount of screen time in ‘Suicide Squad’ according to Movieweb
With even critics who trashed Batman vs Superman agreeing that Ben Affleck’s Batman was one of the best things of the film, it seems Warner Brothers is upping the bat’s screen time with more than just the previously reported cameo in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie.
Photos leaked from the set during production showed Batman chasing down The Joker’s purple car, but this cameo is apparently not the only scene featuring Affleck.
Suicide Squard, set for release on August 5, is currently reshooting a few scenes to add more humor, heart and a lot more action following test screenings and the wild success of Deadpool. The latest cut has added even more Batman to the mix. Not a huge surprise really since the film features Joker, Harlequin, and other well-known Gotham arch villains.
With Warner Brothers also announcing an Affleck staring Batman reboot planned for October 2018 (PLEASE no more origin scenes!), it seems they are moving the caped crusader to the forefront of their DC Universe (sorry Superman). Suicide Squad 2 is also expected in November 2019.
