Renowned British actor, writer and comedian Stephen Fry has recently said he is interested in writing an episode of Doctor Who.
Fry, who most recently had a recurring role in Bones, also appeared in V for Vendetta, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and Blackdadder. He has also become a bit of a Twitter personality as @stephenfry. Last week he won a National Television Award for Best Documentary for his series Stephen Fry: In America, where he spoke about writing for Who
Russell T. Davies had previously approached Fry about writing a Doctor Who episode, but a scheduling conflict prevented it at that time. He'd very much like to write for the new Matt Smith Doctor if he is approached.
“The window passed, and I never really got round to it, but I’m very happy to have had the experience of thinking about it… I look forward so much to seeing Matt Smith and I’m sure he’s going to be wonderful. If I get time it’ll be a thrill, I can’t think of anything nicer.” -- 1/29/2010
