With Solo: A Star Wars Story still a few weeks from release, star Alden Ehrenreich has confirmed he has a 3-movie deal to play Han Solo. This in spite of rumors of problems that included an acting coach being required to help him with his performance and with no sequels yet announced.
Of course the contracted other 2 movie appearances could be as cameos in a Lando movie or a future Star Wars film as a flashback if this first Solo film isn’t well enough received to justify sequels. Disney and Lucasfilm have had a troubled shoot with Solo with the firing of original directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Ron Howard brought in to finish it is said to have re-shot as much as 80 percent of the film and rewrote several major scenes.
Director Ron Howard announced only last week that the final post production had wrapped on the film, due for release May 25.
